Don’t “sleep” on it! Summer is the time to get out and have fun. It is a must in Bismarck.
The Theater Park
If you’ve never been to Sleepy Hollow Theater & Arts Park, let me paint the picture for you. It is an outdoor theater park, much like an amphitheater. You can bring your own lawn chairs and blankets (don’t forget the insect repellent) and find your sweet spot on the grassy lawn, while enjoying wholesome entertainment. It’s honestly very nice.
The Little Mermaid Jr.
“Little Mermaid Jr.” is the first, which will run from July 14-23. It gives me all the feelings. I spent many summers in a swimming pool (bathtub too), pretending I had a tail and was a beautiful mermaid like Ariel. Ahhh…those were wonderful times. I’m ready to bask in nostalgia for The Little Mermaid. I may have already set “Under the Sea” as the ringtone…
This one should be great for kids, or really, the whole family. I don’t really know how the actors will “swim” on stage, but I’m excited to find out.
Now, this one is very near and dear to my heart. It was a movie I had on repeat growing up. Some parts of my personality may come from this film. I’m not going to lie, I could probably recite all of this verbatim, and I’m probably not the only one. That said, I’m sure it will be their own adaptation of Legally Blonde and it won’t be exactly like the movie. Hopefully we’ll still hear the phrase, “I really want a hot dog.” Naturally, after hearing this news, I immediately started to bend and break everywhere. People are annoyed. Its good.
This show will run from July 28 to August 6.
What?… Like it’s hard? You can already start buying tickets for the shows on the Sleepy Hollow website.
