The Chantel family: Pack Pedro and Chantel for his brother’s wedding in the Philippines

Chantel Everett feels uncertain about her brother’s marriage to the Philippines in the next episode of The Chantel family.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of Monday’s episode, provided by TLC, Chantel and her husband, Pedro Jimeno, share their thoughts on Royal and Angenette’s international nuptials while expressing concerns about the couple’s relationship.

“I am very happy [about] go to the Philippines,” says Pedro. “I feel like I want to explore one more city, you know, one more nation.

Prior to being introduced this season, Chantel’s brother Royal brought Angenette over from the Philippines on a K-1 visa and they got married in court with no family or friends. Although they plan to have a second wedding in Angenette’s home country, Chantel and her family still hope to get to know her better before the big day.

Chantel, for her part, feels skeptical because Angenette was embraced by her family much faster than Pedro, despite both of them coming to the United States on K-1 visas. Additionally, Angenette told the cameras she had a miscarriage some time ago, and Royal doubted it was her baby.

While Pedro is excited to learn about a new culture, he thinks some things need to be clarified between the two before their second wedding.

“If Royal wants it [wasn’t] her baby, why feel like that, you know? It’s like, who [is saying] the truth here?” Pedro wonders. “I think they need to clear the air before they remarry the second time around.”

When Pedro asks Chantel if she’s “excited” for the wedding, she’s unsure.

“I don’t know,” she admits as they pack their bags. “We don’t know anything about Angenette’s family, we don’t know anything about the Philippines, really, at all.”

She goes on to explain an incident with Angenette that made her think. “When we went shopping, I asked her how she met Royal and if she had messaged any other guys, before meeting Royal, who were in America,” she recalled. “And it looked like she was about to cry.”

“Royal was the only fish she could catch,” Pedro jokes as Chantel laughs. “The only big fish, you know, she can catch.”

Referencing their own journey, Chantel says, “I guess I was the only fish you could catch too.”

He kindly replies, “Yeah, the best.”

Pedro moved from the Dominican Republic to Atlanta on a K-1 visa after he and Chantel secretly got engaged following a brief romance. Fans first met the couple in the fourth season of 90 Day Fiance. The cameras then followed them and their families for two seasons of the TLC spinoff. 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.

Now, as Chantel watches her brother’s international romance unfold, her “main objective is to protect Royal,” she says in the preview.

“I would like Angenette to prove me wrong on this trip,” she says. “Let’s just see what happens.
