The Broadway League Foundation is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 13and annual Jimmy Rewards® ceremony which takes place on Monday, June 27, 2022, to 7:30 p.m.. the Jimmy Rewards return to an in-person event for the first time in three years and will take place at Minskoff Theater200 West 45and Manhattan street. The 2022 Jimmy Awards will feature 92 attendees making their Broadway stage debut as they perform in an unforgettable talent showcase. During this event, a jury will select two students for the coveted Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress awards.

To this year Jimmy Rewardsthe INSPIRING TEACHER AWARD presented by WELLS FARGO will be awarded to two teachers who, over the past year, guided their students with support and inspiration that ultimately led to them winning the 2021 Jimmy Awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by a ‘an actor.

The Jimmy Awards®/National High School Musical Theater Awards® (NHSMTA®) The program reaches more than 140,000 students who participate in 46 regional high school musical theater competitions sponsored by presenters of Broadway productions touring across the United States. Named for Broadway impresario James M. Nederlander, the program has been the catalyst for more than $5,000,000 in scholarships.

Founded in 2009 by Nederlander Alliances LLC, Pittsburgh CLO, and Broadway Education Alliance (BEA), NHSMTA’s mission is to raise the profile of musical theater in schools, recognize dedicated teachers, and inspire the next generation of performers. and enthusiasts. Presented by The Broadway Inc. League Foundation., the NHSMTA invites one Best Actress nominee and one Best Actor from each local regional ceremony in New York City for an intensive week of theater that includes coaching, training and rehearsals led by some of Broadway’s most accomplished professionals.
