ESPN today announced that it has entered into two separate multi-year agreements with Caesars Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: CZR) and DraftKings Inc. (NASDAQ: DKNG). Both deals include co-exclusive link integrations on ESPN digital platforms connecting fans to sportsbooks from Caesars Entertainment‘s sportsbook partner William Hill and DraftKings. Under the new agreements, ESPN is expanding its relationship with Caesars, as exclusive odds provider and co-exclusive provider of sportsbook links, and DraftKings, as exclusive provider of daily fantasy sports and co-exclusive provider links to sports betting.

“Our new agreements with Caesars and DraftKings collectively represent the next important step for ESPN to diversify our exposure and deepen our commitment to the sports betting space,” said mike morrison, vice president of business development and innovation, ESPN. “We began building the experience through content, odds tracking using sports betting data from William Hill and a new state-of-the-art studio in Las Vegas through our agreement with Caesars, and now with the addition of DraftKings, we bring together the leader in sports media with two of the biggest brands and best products in the segment.

As part of the new Caesars deal, Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill will also become a sponsor of ESPN’s fantasy products, deepening its relationship as ESPN’s exclusive ratings provider. The news follows ESPN’s recent studio launch in Las Vegas at the LINQ Hotel + Experience and its expanded content collaboration.

“Caesars’ relationship with ESPN continues to deepen with the ability to connect directly to our partner William Hill’s sportsbook from ESPN’s digital platforms,” said Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, Inc. “ESPN’s unparalleled reach provides a transformational opportunity for fans and sports enthusiasts to engage and bet at their fingertips. This new initiative closely followed the inauguration of the new ESPN studio with Caesars in the center of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

As part of the new DraftKings agreement, DraftKings will also become ESPN’s exclusive daily fantasy sports provider and co-exclusive provider of sports betting links. Additionally, DraftKings will power integrations across all ESPN content, starting with daily fantasy sports segments on ESPN’s major studio shows.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with ESPN to include deeper integration of our daily sports betting and fantasy sports offerings across their platforms,” said Jason Robin, co-founder, president and CEO of DraftKings. “ESPN’s reach among sports fans is unprecedented, and the start of the NFL is the perfect time for DraftKings to launch this integration.”

All sports betting links will be geo-targeted to legalized sports betting states. Link integrations on digital platforms will include web and mobile web and the ESPN Fantasy app.

“Sports betting is quickly becoming endemic to the overall sports fan experience,” said Mark Walker, senior vice president of business development and innovation, ESPN. “For us, that means greater opportunities to innovate and deliver the best, most seamless experience for fans, which will ultimately grow ESPN’s brand and audience and increase engagement. It is an industry that we will continue to actively pursue as it grows and evolves.
