HUNTINGTON – First Stage Theater Company recently released their plans for the fall.
In September, FSTC will produce âDisney’s Moana Jr.,â which had been postponed from spring 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“Disney’s Moana Jr.” is a musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life on stage.
It features all of the film’s beloved songs, written by award-winning songwriter Tony Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina, including âHow Far I Will Goâ, âShinyâ and âYou’re Welcome “.
In November, the FSTC will participate in Music Theater International’s “All Together Now !: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theater”.
This global fundraising event celebrates the return of live theater and allows organizations around the world to locally produce and present an exclusive music review featuring songs from MTI’s shows over the weekend of November 12.
Artists, composers, songwriters and rights holders such as Stephen Sondheim, Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Glenn Slater, Jack Feldman, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Green Day and Disney Theatrical Productions are among those who allow the performance of their works without royalty or rental. charges as fundraiser for local theaters.
