Portage County Women’s Fund Announces Grant Recipients

The Portage County Women’s Fund has announced its 13 award recipients for 2022.

Grants totaling $44,364 have been awarded to programs and projects that support women and children in Portage County, as well as partner organizations, the Stevens Point Area YMCA and the Aspirus Stevens Point Foundation .

Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra: Educational Concerts for 4th Graders
Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Inc.: Junior Achievement of Portage and Wood Counties
Portage County Health & Human Services: Cribs for Children
Stevens Point Child Safety Center: Adopt a Seat
The Playhouse Theater Group: exceptional artistic programming
Portage County Community Partners: Better Together
Operation Bootstrap: rental/mortgage, transportation and utility assistance
Operation Bootstrap: Transportation Assistance for Women in Need
Portage County Literacy Council: Mobilizing volunteer tutors to serve adults with low literacy
Women and Gender Studies Program, UWSP-Women’s Fund of Portage County Scholarships
