Registration is open for the International WorkBoat Show (IWBS) 2022, which will be held in New Orleans from November 30 to December 30. 2 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

IWBS officials were unsure what to expect last year after the show was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But the 2021 show was a great success, exceeding the expectations of attendees, exhibitors and show officials.

Show officials expect to build on last year’s momentum, with an even bigger and better event in 2022. One indicator is the list of exhibitors, which as of September 14 is ahead on expectations, show officials said.

WorkBoat’s Think Tank program will again be a big part of the show. Scheduled presentations include: “Workforce Development: Recruiting, Training & Retaining Within the Maritime Industry”, “State of the Inland Waterways”, “Building the US Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter — Eastern Shipbuilding” and “ARMOR 1 — Using Technology for protect America’s most important waterway.

Several of the think tank’s busiest sessions take place on the Government’s Maritime Procurement Day, which takes place on Friday, December 2. This year’s program includes: “US Navy, NAVSEA — PMS — 300G — Boats and Combat Craft Program, Acquisition Presentation” from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; “US Navy, NAVSEA — PMS 300G — Lifecycle Management” from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; and “USCG Session” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
