Strand Theater radio variety show presents Boxing Day special

The latest edition of the original Strand On The Air variety show series from the Strand Theater, the Boxing Day Special, will air on Sunday, December 26 at 5:00 pm. The show can be streamed by tuning to WRFR on 93.3 in Rockland, 99.3 in Camden, or streamed on The shows are then available to stream on the Strand Theater website at and as a podcast.

“Of course we know it’s not THAT kind of boxing,” said Liz McLeod, director of Strand House, in a press release. McLeod is also a seasoned radio artist and writes and directs the Strand On The Air series. “But we’ll still put on the gloves when the Strand On The Air says goodbye and good riddance through 2021. The Strand Family Players will be back, assuming we don’t sweep them with the old wrapping paper, with a whole new set of post-vacation laughs.

The show will feature special contributions from musical guests, mandolinist Jim Coffman and harmony duo Patty Jackson and Rusty Blake.
