Marc Platt, who produced the Broadway musical, is also expected to produce the film.

The Actors Fund, the national human services organization for all actors in the performing arts and entertainment, today announced that last night’s 2021 Virtual Gala raised more than one million dollars to support their programs and services. As previously announced, the evening celebrated The Actors Fund; Emmy-winning icon, Debbie Allen; Niko Elmaleh, cleantech investor, real estate developer and philanthropist; Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award winning producer Stacey Mindich; and the creators of the “Stars In The House” talk show, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, when they received the Actors Fund Medal of Honor.
The gala included performances by Jason Robert Brown, Megan Fairchild, Santino Fontana, Syncopated Ladies, Jose Llana, Kelli O’Hara, Zachary Noah Piser and Michael Rosen.
Gala presenters included Robert Fairchild, Michael Greif, Andrea Martin and Chandra Wilson, as well as an appearance by Brian Stokes Mitchell.
