UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP (UMPG) has promoted ROSS GREENING to Senior Vice President/European Regional Administration and Global Copyright/Society Relations. GREENING will continue to be based in LONDON and will report jointly to JOHN RESTON, EVP/Global Administration of UMPG, and SIMON BAKER, GM/UMP EUROPE. Most recently, GREENING served as VP, Regional European Administration and has been with UMPG since 2013.
In his new role, GREENING will take on expanded responsibilities, including leading UMP’s global copyright functions and collecting society engagement strategies. He will continue to lead the organization of the UMP’s European administration, including the operational management of the UMP’s digital licensing vehicle, DEAL.
RESTON said, “ROSS is an integral part of our global stewardship strategic plan as we look to the future. We are incredibly fortunate to have his drive and passion, as well as his in-depth knowledge of music publishing administration and global company operations.
BAKER added, “ROSS is a brilliant executive and his knowledge of publishing administration is second to none. However, it also brings much more to UMPG and our customers. I couldn’t be happier for this well-deserved promotion.
GREENING said, “I am delighted to continue my work with the global and regional management team of JOHN, SIMON and UMPG. Together, we develop our industry-leading administration services for songwriters and rightsholders, and maximize their royalties through our innovative licensing agreements and technologies.
